J’ven Williams was the crown jewel of the 2023 recruiting class, joining the Nittany Lions as the top prospect in Pennsylvania and 25th-best player in the entire class. While he had plenty of suitors from across the country, Williams decided to stay in-state, taking his talents from Wyomissing to State College. Williams redshirted in 2023 as he waited and learned from a talented and experienced offensive line unit, which included a first-round pick and second-round pick.
