Dan Rainville / USA TODAY NETWORK Just 73 more days until the Nittany Lions battle the Mountaineers in week one! For the second consecutive day, we’re featuring a player from Wyomissing, Pa. Caleb Brewer is preparing for his first season as a Nittany Lion as part of the incoming recruiting class. Brewer turned down a list of offers including Michigan, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Wisconsin among several others to stay in his home state. He was rated as the 11th-best prospect to come out of Pennsylvania this seasonm, helping lead Wyomissing Area High School to a 29-2 record over the last two seasons. Brewer is listed at 6-4, 270 lbs., and seems most likely to take a redshirt season to bulk up while waiting his turn on an experienced offensive line, despite some key departures from a season ago. He excelled in the classroom in high school with a 4.0 GPA, and could find his name on the Academic All-Big Ten list if he keeps up that pace during his first year of college. We’re just 73 more days until the start of the 2024 Penn State Football season!!
