But that didn’t stop Donkoh from getting on the field in 2023 and finishing the season as strong as anyone. In the Peach Bowl, Donkoh played the bulk of snaps at right tackle and earned the highest PFF grade on the day for Penn State players. Prior to the Peach Bowl, Donkoh saw his reps come at guard. This shows the versatility that offensive line coach Phil Trautwein covets in his recruits. It also figures into the idea that Donkoh will be a key rotational piece in his redshirt freshman season. While he played right tackle in the bowl game, the addition of transfer Nolan Rucci means there will be plenty of competition at that spot. Wherever the big-bodied Donkoh winds up, he’ll be a key piece of an offensive line puzzle that looks to replace three starters.
