THE TALE During the last half-decade, Penn State has been pretty fortunate recruiting the McDonogh School, landing the likes of PJ Mustipher, Dvon J-Thomas (formerly Ellies), Curtis Jacobs, Dani Dennis-Sutton, and Mason Robinson. So it was no surprise when Penn State offered Exinor Jr. and immediately became a major threat for the pass-catcher. Exinor Jr. was patient and made official visits, but in the end, Penn State hauled in another McDonogh School product. Exinor Jr. becomes commitment No. 20 for the Nittany Lions, which now has the No. 6 ranked 2025 recruiting class in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite. Exinor Jr. is the second wide receiver in the class, joining New York’s Lyrick Samuel. OUTLOOK Exinor Jr.’s an interesting prospect just because I don’t recall too many times Penn State has recruited his archetype. Generally, they go for pure slot receivers (Kaden Saunders, Liam Clifford, etc.) or sub 4.45 guys who can stretch the field (Malick Meiga, Omari Evans, etc.). Exinor Jr. doesn’t really fit into either bubble, as he’s an already well-built prospect who actually played defensive end early on in his college career. Really, he has a build similar to Curtis Jacobs, who also played wide receiver at McDonogh. The question for Exinor Jr. is his long speed. I don’t think it sticks out as a major negative, but he probably falls into the “average” category there. But he checks a lot of other boxes. Natural pass-catcher who catches the ball away from his body. He does a really nice job of getting into and out of his breaks, and he uses that suddenness to create separation. Just overall a really smart football player. Someone I’m excited to see progress as a senior.
