Thursday Cheese Curds: NFL teams’ social media schedule videos impress (or don’t)

Image Jerry Lai-USA TODAY Sports As usual, the Chargers’ social media team remains at the top of the league. Two years after getting dealt a brutal hand by the NFL’s schedule-makers, the Green Bay Packers appear to have a pretty good setup for the 2024 regular season. The NFL’s schedule release was yesterday and if you somehow missed it, be sure to check out our full breakdown on the schedule from last night. This year will truly be a tale of two halves for this team, with the Packers getting early kickoffs at noon throughout most of the first two months, then switching to a series of prime time games starting around the week of Thanksgiving. As usual, Green Bay got the maximum number of night games (five), thanks in part to back-to-back Thursday games (Thanksgiving night and TNF the following week). But while we discussed the Packers’ fortunate rest and travel schedule in the breakdown, there’s plenty more to look at in terms of historical oddities, not to mention taking a spin around the interesting nuggets from other teams’ 2024 schedules. And of course, there’s the ever-present social media videos for schedule release day, where one team always sets the bar. The Packers’ video had a few chuckle-worthy moments, but it seemed to primarily serve as a showcase for a handful of notable Packers fans and Larry McCarren’s messed-up finger. It was by no means the most cringe-inducing video of the 32 teams this year, but it certainly didn’t hold a candle to some of the best, either. Let’s take a deeper dive into the Packers’ schedule and that of the rest of the NFL as we get ready for Green Bay to get OTAs underway next week. 10 things to know about the Packers’ 2024 schedule | Packers.com
