Washington State DB Chau Smith-Wade was the 157 pick. 5'9.5, 184, 4.54 40, a slow 7.05 3-cone and 4.32 shuttle, a good 18 x 225 bench.Two year starter.  Productive with the ball with 21 PD and 3 INT, all outside, but has an inside body type.  He has significant experience on special teams.  Size is an issue to some, including getting boxed out on the edge of a route, but has a smooth athleticism that keeps him in ball opportunities.  Clean eyes and doesn't get grabby, feet are good and he flips to run easily so he may have enough man ability to compete outside. Run defense is good, but needs more control, too much diving and grasping.  That's something to watch as you look at him possibly playing nickel, that he'll have to stay active. Coaches credit CSW for improving habits to get and stay on the field. He was a 183 overall consensus, with a peak of 77 in January.
