Lessons Learned From The SumerSports Draft Guide

Turns out that, if you dig up a bit about Eric Eager, you find his SumerSports site (he's VP there, and I assume will be until he's official) did a post-draft Rookie Guide. Which is to say, it includes their opinions on these guys after they're drafted.   More of a "learn who your team got" than much else, but, it has value.  Threw my email into their box and got some info on their draft guide.  Since the internet doesn't have much analysis from him right nowSome notes: Xavier LegetteThey suggest he'll catch 35.5 balls and 2.6 TDs, with 433 receiving yards.  They throw out a route tree (assumedly, this is what he ran, not how well he ran it) and suggests he was used a ton in 'go', post, hitch, curl.  Nothing too interesting there.   He has a 72.4 Athleticism score which is lower than many peers (but not Keon Coleman at 38.3, and certainly, weight does not gain you anything back obviously) and yet the only non-ideal thing listed is height (?) so maybe WRs being 6'1 is ... small? Suggests he was 4th in YPRR, Average separaton he gets high marks, good stuff.  He gets lower marks for separation in air, which I think we knew.  Jonathon BrooksNothing groundbreaking here - he's an ace at breaking tackles, and yards after contact, explosive percentage, and notably, Yards per route run.  His success rate is the low spot and suggests, he can hit home runs and also swing at air. They have him at a projection that include 441 yards rushing, 186 receiving.  They suggest he will have more fantasy points than Legette. Ja'Tavion SandersI'm intrigued by how much they note Sanders aligned outside (17%) given they had two first round-worthy receivers.  Much like Legette you see a lot of go, hitch, you see Flat here which is interesting, and a lot more in, than out. They ding him for target share (good Lord he was on a team with three top 52 skill picks and could've been one, too), have him lower on YPRR, and separation in air (again like Legette, a jump ball guy, you almost have to keep a guy close), and exceptional in YAC, ADOT, etc, showing again, he's a deep seam guy. They suggest Sanders will catch 23.6 balls for 1.5 scores.
Interesting to know what the (rumored) new analytics guy says about our new picks.  Now, of course, this isn't signed by Eager and it's not like we're reading anything that's a formal draft profile from the group, but, found it valuable.  Hope you do too.
