v/s Saints, Pregame

Dennis Allen might be doomed if he can't pull up from 5-7.  Carolina's already doomed. This one, at Carolina, will have to be hard-fought.  In concept, stopping a lot of what NO does is remedied by the 2-deep shell Carolina likes. That would in concept provide the reach to Alvin Kamara and to Jimmy Graham respectively; but that's not where the strength lies.  You have to watch out for them, but the motive power is now at WR. Chris Olave, Michael Thomas, Rashid Shaheed have been good, at least as good as the intense mediocrity and even keel of Derek Carr allows.   Kamara is averaging only 3.8 ypc and 6.9 ypr, while Taysom Hill is the next rusher and Jamaal Williams has regressed.   They're 9th in attempts and 28th in yards per attempt, so it'd be a great week to get things corked up. Conversely, 24th rush defense and 27th net; feed Chuba Hubbard.   The Saints' D is 8th in the league on 3rd down, however; yet they only have 19 sacks on the year (even worse, same for Carolina). I'm not counting on a win, ideally they'd at least identify some more growth with Jonathan Mingo and Bryce Young.   Getting Hubbard rolling would be massive.  If there's room for a little Tommy Tremble, great there too.   But it's easy to have lowered expectations here and now, isn't it?
