V/S Packers, Aftermath

It's already Wednesday evening, apologies - Merry Christmas, of course. It's been a solid week - after a win, a near-win.  33-30, Packers and Carolina got hosed, in my opinion and many others.   It was a great week for the O, with Bryce Young throwing in a 300 yard, 2 score game that is exactly what you'd want to see.  Was that against a really rough Packers' D?  It was.**  It's been interesting this year that Young comes alive against drop defenses, and absolutely can't find many people getting open without it.   Case in point is Terrace Marshall Jr, who had a huge run while DJ Chark was hurt, but only down by 8 points or more.   It left TMJ wanting a trade when that didn't turn into more playing time, but the inevitable is that Young is pretty good when he has even a little time and his receivers have a little separation. Young's day also came with "only" 2 sacks, 23 of 36 and both scores going to Chark; Chuba Hubbard and Ihmir Smith-Marsette got rushing scores and Raheem Blackshear was in for a 2 point conversion.  Eddy Pineiro missed two XP after a 52 and an XP.  Frankie Luvu had 10 tackles, a sack, and a FF and Derrick Brown pulled 9 tackles in a whale of a game against the wide zone.   But the defense couldn't stop the Packers short of a FG in a four minute offense, and though Young hit two 22 yard passes, the clocking of the ball was controversial and Carolina couldn't tie with the ball at the GB 31 in what would have been a makeable FG. But, Carolina pulled 30 points for the first time in the year, and honestly did it without
**That said, the 2023 Packers are 13th in passing yards, defense; they're 22nd in net per attempt and they could really be worse.  Certainly, half of Packers fans sounded ready to execute Joe Barry after this game, but they have some good pieces and Young had a really good game.  Just let him be allright for a game, right?  And maybe build on it.
